I’m a philosopher of cognitive science and mind. I specialise in selfhood and self-representation, drawing philosophically significant conclusions from empirical work. I study how humans, animals, and artificial agents understand themselves as someone – and why they represent themselves as a particular kind of someone. Outside philosophy, I’m active in digital rights, contribute to opensource projects, and shoot photography.
